Who are they for?
Children with or without additional needs, aged 2 years and over.

How can they be used?
They can be used in Early Years settings (Nurseries, Childminders, Playgroups etc) Primary schools (Nursery, Reception, KS1), in various groups such as Parent and Toddler Groups and at home by Parents/Carers and Nannies. A responsible adult needs to be present during the sessions to support the child(ren) during the session with the various activities and we would also recommend that when the sessions are used with a group of young children, there is a suitable ratio of adults to children.

What to expect from the sessions
Each Developmental Dance Movement® based session contains music, singing and dancing starting with a warm up, followed by the main activities, then a cool down and ending with a craft activity. Each Rhythm and Rhyme session is themed and full of activities aimed at younger children to support developing their numeracy, literacy and understanding of the world. They are engaging and packed with familiar songs and rhymes often accompanied by percussion instruments, puppets and toys with simple actions children can follow and join in so they have fun while they learn.
