SUMMARY:'Build A Bridge' Croydon
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our weekly 'Build A Bridge' Community Project!\nat Babyzone Croydon\, Legacy Youth Zone\, Croydon CR0 2LG \n \nThis project\, aimed at children aged between 2 and 7 years to support Child Development\,\nis fully funded by the City Bridge Trust -\nmaking the sessions FREE to attend!\n \n \nWe have successfully delivered this project for over three years in Tooting and Wandsworth and reached and made a difference to so many children\, and we are now bringing this project\nto Croydon for 2 sessions on Friday mornings (term time only)\n \nThese weekly Developmental Dance Movement® (DDM) sessions\, when attended on a regular basis as part of a programme\, support the development of children of all abilities. MovementWorks® is the originator and global lead of the DDM method\, programme and training; DDM is an evidence-based early years programme conceived to enhance global development (cognitive\, physical\, social and emotional) \nWe are actively seeking to welcome children with additional\, social and communication needs. \nActivities are simple\, fun and interactive\, designed to be enjoyed as a group\nand are supported by Makaton™ signing. \n\nHere are just a couple of comments on the difference that attending the sessions has made to the children as reported by their parent/carers. \n"B really benefits from the MovementWorks programme. His listening and participation in group activities has greatly improved. He always looks forward to the group and is often singing the songs or doing the dances at home. I'd say it is a real cornerstone of his development." \n"D loves the MovementWorks workshops. It’s had a massive impact on my daughter’s confidence\, she loves joining in with the dancing and singing and is really engaging with the children. We love watching her in the sessions too - we love them!." \n"O loves the sessions with Hilary\, she is always keen to join in with the fun\, dances and games and especially likes the bells which she has rung several times.\nShe engages well with the other children in the group and is now better at identifying colours." \n\nPlaces are limited so will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. \nTo register your child\, either complete the form on our 'Build A Bridge' page\nor email us direct on: info@movementworks.org \n\nIMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE! \n\nAll parent/carers are required to register their child/ren and provide short survey feedback forms when requested\nThese are 'closed' sessions and will be limited to 10 children per session and they must be accompanied by an Adult Parent/Carer\nOnce enrolled in the programme\, we expect children to attend every week to get the most from the programme\nIn the case of over-subscription\, we will operate a waiting list system\nIf there is more interest than places available we can offer new places each term.
