'ACTION FOR AUTISM' MORE INFO & PAST PROJECTS....
We have been running 'Action for Autism' since 2019 thanks to the support and funding provided by the Mayor of London / Active Londoners, Wandsworth Council Arts for Health and Wellbeing, Wandsworth Grant Fund and most recently (until December 2025) Wandsworth Council Arts and Culture.
In March 2026 we launched 'Autism Moves!' a new social mixing project for neurodivergent young people in Wandsworth supported by Wandsworth Moves Together Grant Fund. The initial sessions took place at Paddock School and in April we commenced the after-school sessions at Tooting Leisure Centre, providing the young people in the school and others with the opportunity to meet, interact, make friends and collaborate with others.

During this time, we have made a difference to our neurodivergent participants and their families - here is just some of the feedback we have received.

'ARTISTES FOR AUTISM'
In 2023 we received funding from Wandsworth Arts Fringe for our group to create and showcase a special performance piece at the Community Day of Dance at the Royal Academy of Dance.
This provided our participants the opportunity to stretch themselves creatively, being involved in the choice of music, choreography and costume design for the performance piece.
A short documentary including the rehearsals and performance is available on our YouTube Channel
2024: The project was supported by Arts Council England expanding on the previous in working with a group of autistic young people in the collaborative creation of a new dance piece showcased at WAF Community Dance Day and at the Happy Streets Festival. In addition we were invited to showcase this project at The Autism Show, London, where we also provided a Keynote.
2025: we were awarded funding from Wandsworth Council, Arts and Culture to enable the group to take part in the celebrations for Wandsworth London Borough of Culture. We were extremely proud when our group of young people were chosen to close the show at the Launch event at Battersea Park.
