Monday is the start of the annual 'Awareness' campaign Learning Disability Week 

This special Awareness week is promoted by Mencap and this year's theme is Do You See Me? which is all about being seen, heard and valued; is about challenging the barriers people with a learning disability face and celebrating the things people with a learning disability bring to society. Each day of this week has a different theme, to highlight the struggles that individuals who have learning disabilities face.

• Wednesday 19 June: "Will you work with me?"
• Thursday 20 June: "Do you hear me?"
• Friday 21 June: "Do you include me?"
• Saturday 22 June: "Will you support me?"

Why MovementWorks is supporting Learning Disability Week
Working as we do, with children, young people and vulnerable adults with SEN, Autism and related differences, we understand first hand what the difficulties are that they face and one of our aims is to make things better for them through our Dance Movement projects. We know that we make a difference with these projects and that we can improve the lives of those who take part.

Throughout this week, we will be sharing examples of feedback from parents and participants who took part in just a couple of our funded projects  'Artistes for Autism' and 'Action for Autism', with quotes from their completed end of project forms.
